So uh, guess who finally watched Avatar The Last Airbender (and The Legend of Korra)? On one hand, I'm glad I didn't have to wait to watch all the episodes, and I'm glad I didn't experience the negative fan reactions, but on the other, how did I not watch this sooner?!?!

I just love it so. It's basically everything I love, smushed into one perfect little package.

I was despairing of how I could contribute art to the Avatar fandom, since I definitely can't do dynamic, martial arts-y poses, and there was that super awesome picture of Team Avatar all grown up. This was the best I could come up with.

This had a pretty steep drop off in terms of motivation to make this look great, unfortunately. I don't know why I thought a pentych (quintych??) would be a good idea when my drawing attention span is max 3 hours. This took...more than 3 hours. I wish I'd just chosen Korra-style and stuck with it, instead of taking the canon styles of kids!Kataang, 40!Aang, and 85!Katara and trying to extrapolate the inbetween. And as much as I can't stand chinstrap beards, old!Aang looks weird with more beard.

And the height inconsistencies was only half intentional (like, you get shorter when you age?). Other inconsistencies were not intentional, but have been noted.

I loved it. It's realy great how you tel their story.
I watched all the Aang series. Unfortunately I'm not being able to see Korra.
As a great fan, I am very pleased to see it.
