edit 2: Yay! I submitted this to the official page and it can now be seen here: [link]
Whee! Too bad I didn't realize I couldn't edit the description because I wanted to put a link back to my devart gallery. Okay, so I got this idea because I got =el-kenshin's kiriban and I was looking through his gallery (which is awesome, and you should check it out). I considered requesting Heroes characters as comic book heroes (um...which I guess they already are, in an online comic), but I thought, well, that's something I'd like to try someday and I'll be too intimidated by =el-kenshin's version to try it. So I requested something else (but he seems to be very excited about it so yay for that), and decided to try my idea. So this is fanart of the tv series Heroes, which I recommend to every comic book geek out there. Oh em gee I can't wait till episodes start again in January (though I'm taking a night class on Mondays, so bahhh). Ummm and this piece sorta sucks. It was really ambitious of me and I really sorta stopped wanting to do it as I was sketching it, which is a pretty bad sign cuz that was wayy early on. They all look sorta weird, but they're supposed to be Steven E. Gordon-y (see [link] or, y'know, watch X-Men Evolution, or even the Swan Princess. The proportions are off, mostly because I really didn't have space towards the bottom of the paper. One major problem with making these characters into comic book superhero types is that a lot of their powers aren't things that are easily conveyed in a pose. From top left to right: *Nathan Petrelli -- um. Can fly. Awkardly, as my drawing might imply. *Isaac Mendez -- can paint the future (hard to convey), but *at least he probably always has inspiration to draw (though often when he is high). *Claire Bennet -- is indestructible. Probably should have added some glow to her or something. *Peter Petrelli -- can mimic other's powers (all Rogue style, whee!). Sorta drew a spoiler, sorry. *Hiro Nakamura -- is adorable! And can bend the space/time continuum. Future Hiro has a sword. And a soul patch. *Niki (and Jessica) Sanders -- has multiple personality disorder. I swear, that's really her only "power." (I guess super strength too...maybe.) If you described her to any clinical psychologist, (s)he would tell you that Niki is afflicted with dissociative identity disorder, I kid you not. But I drew two of her here. *Matt Parkman -- telepathic. Which is green because there was virtually no green in the picture. D.L. Hawkins -- Phases through stuff all Shadowcat style. Bah, description getting long. Now, to start reading Sabriel--I mean, prepping for the GRE. edit] WHOA. I didn't realize that my fullview size was set to 600 pixels. Why would it do that?? Anyway, now you can see the full image. Not that there are any details you were missing out on before. |

But, seriously, I'm so loving your take on Issac right now. He is so much more likable now that he managed to clean up in Fallout.
Thank you so much! I...don't remember which is Fallout, but yeah, he is more likable. Though I am wondering how a comic artist has, like, gallery showings...is that common??

As far as Niki/Jessica is concerned, I get the feeling that it'll play out like the Odetta/Detta crisis in Stephen King's Drawing of the Three.
