Version 1 of the Geisha for ~issues09
. Second version here [link]
-- the only difference is blurred background. This took me forever and a day to do because I was trying to do a LOT of research on geisha and making sure I did a geisha and not a maiko and all that jazz. Even so, I ended up giving up on a lot of stuff, because this took so long, and I'm just worn out. So there are a lot of things I would fix (e.g. hair ornaments, obi, kimono sleeves, etc.), but it's just gonna stay as it is.
I hope you all notice that I actually put effort into a background on this one (that stupid tree just about killed me).
, I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I don't know when I'll get cracking on your kiriban...eegh, hopefully soonish. I've a couple things I need to finish first, though.
If you want any info on geisha, Immortal Geisha is the website to go to.
Wikipedia gave me a couple links, I think, and some general information.
How Stuff Works helped me with geisha-hair (which is different from maiko hair) -- sorta...it still looks weird. I sorta gave up there.
Sakura brushes from Glamoury (look at me, crediting brushes! But that's because I never knew how hard it was to find brushes on dial-up when you're using Photoshop Elements, so I remembered this one). I think it's like [link]
or something like that.
Oy, and I forgot: pose is indeed referenced from a vintage picture from Immortal Geisha.
I figure I should scraps one of these version, but I don't know which. You guys have any opinions on which one?
