First part of a three part series of the girls from the band S.H.E. as goddesses (a play on their names, I guess). This is Selina Ren as Selene, the Greek goddess of the Moon (not that Artemis isn't also...). As such, she has a moonflower in her hair.
Tried the art nouveau thing, but I know nothing about art nouveau except artists who emulate it on devart reference Alphonse Mucha, so I also tried to. But then there was so much effort required to make it look good, so I didn't (case in point: I had planned a more elaborate background to be conveyed when coloring, but quickly gave up in favor of posting).
Technical disclaimers (i.e. some of the things I already know are off): she's skinny with a big head (maybe this is my style??), her feet are a cop-out, and proportions in general are janky.
I don't know where to start! I love the way the hair and the clothes turned out. But I also love the design... art nouveau is beautiful but yeah it can be tough. I really like the brushes and textures you used and...man this is one of the prettiest things I've seen!
Don't worry about the weird proporions I think it looks fine. And the feet work with the simplicity of her figure I think. There's so much about this I like! ^____^
Yayy, thank you! And thank you for the favorite! What's ironic is that I didn't spend very much time on the dress, but everyone seems to like it. Are you into Asian dramas/music yet?!
Hahahaha yeah someitmes it works out that way. I think it's a good sign that something so simple can look impressive. I have not yet gotten into music or dramas but at the moment I don't really have time lately. I dunno what happened but I'm always busy with something.
Yeah, I see the skinny-with-a-big-head thing, but as far as the other proportions go, everything looks fine to me. ^__^ The feet work fine with everything else, and I actually like the background choice; simple, yet effective. I often like simpler backgrounds anyways.
Another note: the coloring job is really nice on this! Big thumbs-up on her face!
